Our CSR
Not only are we passionate about what we do and the training we deliver, we are equally dedicated to our corporate social responsibility, which is more than just writing a cheque to charity at Christmas.
It’s a desire to give something back and to show that we care for more than just our bottom line. It’s about aligning our activities with our stakeholders' expectations whether it's our clients, suppliers, the community, our employees and society as a whole.
We've set ourselves objectives which we regularly review:
Business ethics:
- Meet, and where possible, exceed all expectations on our service offering
- Behave with honesty and integrity in all our activities and relationships
- Act ethically and fairly at all times when dealing with our stakeholders
- Maintain adequate internal controls to ensure these standards are met
Managing our environmental impact:
- Make the most efficient and effective use of all resources, encouraging all staff to develop a sustainable approach to their work
- Minimise carbon emissions from business travel by avoiding unnecessary travel and travelling by public transport where possible
- Encourage staff to use sustainable modes of transport to commute to work
- Maintain our cost-effective energy, water conservation and re-cycling programme
Procurement:
- Work with our suppliers to help us achieve sustainable and socially responsible procurement aspirations in the delivery of our products and services
- Support the principles of fair trade and aim to purchase only fair trade provisions
Our people:
- Respect the rights and dignity of every employee and treat them fairly and without discrimination
- Promote the health and well-being of our staff
- Encourage team working and the sharing of knowledge throughout the business
- Provide a safe, fulfilling and rewarding career for all our employees
In the community:
- Enable staff who wish to undertake voluntary activities to do so
- Enable staff to continue to support our chosen charitable organisation every year through voluntary fundraising activities, and to give them the time and opportunity to participate in charitable events
Contribution:
- To financially contribute to our chosen charity ChildLine
- To financially support our customers' endeavours in raising funds for their chosen charitable organisation
- To give time and expertise in helping organise charitable events with the recruitment sector
What our team says
Gilly Franklin, Trainer
Having worked with Fiona and the team for over ten years, I have immensely enjoyed the range of clients and projects I have been involved with, experiencing a broad exposure which adds to my portfolio. In more recent years, I have relished the opportunity to focus on leadership development and being stretched and developed by new challenges has a positive knock on effect on the service we deliver. Working with a great team of specialists has also contributed in massive way to my personal development which in turn enables me to continuously improve what I deliver. Lander Associates has always supported my need for flexible working patterns. It really is the best of both worlds – our passion for recruitment combines with our fervour in developing people.
Rachel Gould, Marketing Assistant
"As a first step on my career path I have been blown away by the encouragement that I have received since I began at Lander Associates, it has been so much more than I could have hoped for. From the start, they nurtured my creativity and gave me the freedom and challenge to really grow my skills. Their trust in me has given me unique opportunities that I couldn’t have experienced elsewhere at this early stage in my career and has enabled me to take on responsibilities such as managing media communications and creating innovative marketing material which I have found both exciting and enjoyable."
Angela Cripps, Trainer
"Why did I join Lander Associates over six years ago...? The answer... because I totally believed in Fiona and the way she did business. Ethical (to a fault!) and adamant that with each client we work with, we can make a positive difference to their business. I love being a part of the team that achieves this. I get to work all over Europe, doing something that I love. I actually feel embarrassed to get paid sometimes - but not always!
With 20 years in the recruitment industry, I know that every piece of work I deliver, whether that be 1-1 coaching, working with Directors on their induction programmes or training a small or large group (in the true, traditional sense of the word), I'm going to meet some fabulous people. Long may it last! "
Alan Clarke, Trainer
"During the past four years with Lander Associates I have not only worked with some of the most talented trainers in our industry but have gained considerable experience in a number of different areas. I have had international exposure and trained across a broad range of market specialisations allowing me to build my knowledge and continually add to the wealth of expertise we have as a team.
I, as well as the other trainers, have been encouraged to learn, challenge ourselves and continually improve, resulting in a team dynamic that enables us to match appropriate talent to our clients’ business needs. This has all culminated in positive feedback wherever I train which is a great personal bonus but I am only the front man - Lander Associates has a fantastic and highly efficient support function which ensures all training events run smoothly and effectively."
